At Everlie & Co., we always say that our favorite weddings are the ones where a couple’s personality really shines through. When a wedding feels true to the people at the center of it all, everything else naturally falls into place. Lauren and Jake’s Fairlie Chicago wedding was so genuine, so aligned with our philosophy of meaningful connection that personal touches, that it was an absolute joy to plan and be a part of!
Fairlie’s striking industrial architecture is the best part of the venue. It gave us clean lines and an open, airy structure to build on. From the very start, Lauren and Jake trusted us to guide the planning and design process, which allowed us to craft a signature aesthetic that felt modern, refined, and warm. Exactly as Lauren and Jake had imagined it to be.

Erin Victoria Design Collective instantly understood the vision! Their gorgeous textured florals added so much depth to the already beautiful Chicago wedding venue. They combined sweeping cherry blossom branches with phalaenopsis orchids and sweet peas to create arrangements that felt alive and elegant. The result was a space that carried depth and movement in every direction. It was a floral landscape that softened Fairlie’s architecture while still honoring the character of the venue.

One of our favorite parts of this celebration was watching Lauren step into her wedding day look! Her Kyha Studios gown struck the perfect balance between sleek and romantic, and Erin Graham and Shannon O’Brien completed the vision with hair and makeup that felt chic and was so stunning. Jake matched tone in a tailored tux from The Black Tux and classic Gucci shoes.

Rhett Price shaped the ceremony’s entire mood. His live violin performance added so much emotion and was a perfect addition to the space. He carried that energy into cocktail hour, creating a seamless mood shift before DJ Matt Roan took the reins for the reception. Matt has an incredible ability to read the room, and he built the night’s energy naturally, never rushed, and such a vibe.

Remarkable Events designed lighting that transformed the space as the night unfolded, shifting from warm and intimate into a vibrant late-night glow. Entertaining Company served an unforgettable dinner experience (we’re still hearing the rave reviews!), and with Shutterbooth, guests left with candid snapshots that felt personal and full of personality.
We Are The Bowsers photographed the day with a cinematic perspective that captured not only what happened, but how it all felt. It’s the kind of storytelling our couples value, and so do we! We loved how they captured Lauren and Jake and all the beautiful details of their day.

As planners and designers, it’s so important to us that every detail reflects who the couple are. Lauren and Jake’s day was so them: modern and warm, elegant but not expected, and full of meaningful energy. Planning their Fairlie wedding was a true joy, and we’re so grateful to have been part of such a thoughtful celebration!
